The fact that I thought for about a split second that the article was serious, is proof that I'm really gullible, but also that the overuse of anti-depressants is so wide spread, giving them to pets wouldn't be completely out of the question.

actually I was wrong, it is true; people are giving their pets anti-depressants...wow
I actually have a family friend who gives Prozac to their dog. I remember it made the dog more hyper and obnoxious. Apparently the dog had an anxiety disorder and would bite its paws. As a result, the veterinarian prescribed doggy prozac for the animal.
